This is my sugar glider - Sugar! She is a marsupial, which means she is related to the oppossum, and she has a pouch. Sugar gliders are nocturnal, so she sleeps all day while I am at work.
Sugar gliders are a lot of fun. She likes to run, jump, climb, and glide from the furniture. She gets along fine with our dog, Montana. Sometimes she makes a noise like a barking puppy.
Sugar gliders are called pocket pets. When sugar was a baby, I carried her around in my pocket during the day while she slept, so she would get used to my smell.
